Buns Cinnabon


A simple recipe for delicate and fragrant Cinnabon buns, the taste of which will impress you from the first bite. By following the step-by-step instructions, you can easily prepare this delicious dessert.

Required ingredients for the dough:

  • 300 ml milk (warm)
  • 1.5 tsp dry yeast
  • 5 tbsp sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 50 g butter
  • 650 g flour 1 tbsp for work surface
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil


Required ingredients for the filling:

  • 40 g butter
  • 4 tbsp. l sugar
  • 2 tbsp. l cinnamon


Step by Step Recipe:

  1. Add dry yeast to warm milk.
  2. Then add salt, sugar and eggs and mix well.
  3. After that, pour in the melted butter and mix again.
  4. Then gradually introduce flour, kneading the dough well. It should not stick to your hands.

Note: You may need slightly less or more flour than indicated. It depends on the size of the eggs you are using in the recipe.

  1. When the dough is almost ready, you need to add vegetable oil, gently form it into a ball, cover with a film and leave for about an hour.
  2. Sprinkle the work surface with flour and roll out the dough into a thin layer (up to 1 cm).
  3. Lubricate the dough with melted butter. Sprinkle evenly with sugar and cinnamon.

Note: for those who prefer not very sweet desserts, we advise you to add lemon zest, then the buns will have a refreshing taste with a slight sourness.

  1. Roll the dough into a tight roll and cut into pieces 3–4 cm thick.

Tip: to make the cuts come out even, you can do this with a regular thread.

  1. Cover the baking sheet with parchment and put the buns in, leaving a small distance between them. Leave to rest before baking for 20-25 minutes.
  2. Bake the buns in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 25 minutes.
  3. Remove the finished Сinnabons and generously pour over the icing while they are warm.


We offer several glaze options:

  • Sour cream (200 g sour cream 4 tbsp powdered sugar vanilla sugar);
  • Cream of mascarpone (cream cheese powdered sugar milk - beat until the consistency of thick sour cream);
  • Cream on condensed milk (mix 250 g of condensed milk and 2 eggs and bring to a thickening (but not to a boil) on a small slow fire, stirring constantly);
  • The simplest, but no less delicious serving of Cinnabon - with a scoop of ice cream of your favorite flavor.
