In recent years, the unconventional Easter cake Cruffin has become more and more famous. She is known to be from Australia. It is considered to be something between a croissant and a muffin. That is why it has such an unusual name. So, if you want to cook something unusual for Easter in addition to traditional Easter cakes, we offer you a fairly simple recipe for a delicious Cruffin.

Ingredients:
- 300 g flour 2 tsp. (for dough)
- 100 g of sugar
- ½ glass of milk
- 150 g butter
- 1 egg
- 2 yolks (whites are not needed)
- 2 tsp dry yeast
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- saltfilling as desired (in the recipe below we offer several options)
Cruffin Easter cake recipe step by step:
1. Cooking dough. To do this, mix warm milk, yeast, two spoons of sugar and two spoons of flour in a bowl. And leave in a warm place for about half an hour.
2. In another bowl, using a mixer, mix the egg, yolks, sugar, a pinch of salt and vanilla sugar until fluffy.
3. Add the dough to the egg-sugar mixture and mix thoroughly.
4. Next, slowly adding flour, knead the dough.
5. At the end, add 50 g of melted butter. Cover the dough and send to a warm place for about an hour and a half. It should double or even triple.

6. Divide the dough into three equal parts. Roll each part into a thin layer (about 20x30 cm).
7.Grease well with soft butter and sprinkle evenly with stuffing.
For the filling, we offer several options:
- candied fruits
- dried cherries or cranberries
- raisins or dried apricots
- assortment of several components according to your taste
- milk chocolate drops
8. Roll the dough into a roll along the long edge.
9. Cut the roll into two equal parts parallel to the long edge, but not completely, leaving 2–3 cm. Wrap one part in a spiral (like a snail). The second part is also twisted in a spiral around the first.
10. Put the Easter cakes in oiled molds. And leave in a warm place for about half an hour so that the dough rises a little more.
11. Preheat the oven to 180°. Bake cookies for about 35-40 minutes.
Tip: If the tops are getting too brown, cover the cakes with foil.
12.Remove the finished cruffins from the oven and let them cool down. Sprinkle with powdered sugar or almond flakes, if desired.
Note: Cruffins are not glazed due to their unusual and interesting appearance.
