Apple pie is a true fall baking classic. We are adding to our collection of autumn recipes with a delicious and simple apple pie, with a twist in the form of apricot jam.

Ingredients:
- 300 g flour
- 1 egg
- 50 g butter
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp bran
- 2 apples
- 100 g apricot jam
- a pinch of salt
Recipe step by step:
- 1. Pour flour into a bowl, add a slightly beaten egg, softened butter, honey, and salt.
- 2. Knead the dough for up to 10 minutes, form a ball and put it in the refrigerator for half an hour.
- 3. Sprinkle the work surface with flour and roll out the dough to approximately 5 mm thick.
- 4. Turn on the oven to warm up.
- 5. Line a baking pan with parchment and then with dough.
- 6. Pierce the dough with a fork in several places and sprinkle with bran.
- 7. Peel the apples, cut into thin slices and place on the bottom of the pan.
- 8. Heat the apricot jam and coat the apple slices with it.
- 9. Fold the edges of the dough inside the mold.
- 10. Bake in a preheated oven for about 40 minutes until the dough is golden.
- 11. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Tip: We recommend serving with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or, if desired, dusting the cake with powdered sugar.
